Is a flashing light on my Fujitsu a problem?
Not always. In heat mode, Fujitsu says the unit will temporarily stop for 7 to 15 minutes during automatic defrosting, and the OPERATION lamp will flash. That's normal. A flashing light in cooling mode, or one that doesn't stop, is worth noting down and reporting — see error codes & blinking lights.
Why won't my Fujitsu start after a power outage?
Fujitsu builds in a delay: whenever power is interrupted, the protection circuit prevents the unit restarting for about 3 minutes. After a Florida storm outage, give it a few minutes before assuming a fault.
Fujitsu's checklist before calling for service
Fujitsu's troubleshooting page asks owners to check for a power failure, a tripped breaker or blown fuse, the timer, a dirty air filter, blocked intake or outlet grilles, the thermostat setting, open doors or windows, and dead remote batteries. If those are fine and it still isn't cooling or heating, it needs a technician — our Florida mini-split referral line can connect you with one who works on ductless systems.
Fujitsu warranty
Fujitsu's extended coverage applies to systems installed by a licensed contractor with online product registration submitted. If your system is recent, contact the original installer first. We're not affiliated with Fujitsu General.
